Herm Edwards to Speak at Annual Boys and Girls Club Outback Dinner
Lubbock, Texas – Football Coach, Pro Football Analyst and former NFL Player, Herm Edwards, will be the Keynote Speaker at this year’s Lubbock Boys and Girls Club Outback Dinner on March 6, 2018, beginning at 6:30 pm.
Edwards played nine seasons in the NFL as a defensive back, most notably with the Philadelphia Eagles organization. Upon retirement, Edwards began a twenty-year coaching career, highlighted by Head coaching positions with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. In 2009, Edwards was hired by ESPN as an analyst for the network’s “NFL Live” program. In December 2017, Edwards accepted the head coach position at Arizona State, where he will return to the world of coaching for the 2018-2019 NCAA Football season.
As a highly sought-after public speaker, Edwards channels the same infectious passion that has made him so successful on the field as well as in the studio. Known for his rousing motivational speeches and memorable press conferences, his eccentric soundbites are known and quoted throughout the sporting world.
About the Outback Dinner:
The Outback Dinner is an Annual fundraiser organized by and benefitting the Lubbock Boys and Girls Clubs. 100 Boys and Girls Club members are invited to join the event each year, to enjoy the evening and tell their stories to those in attendance. The evening will include dinner, catered by Outback Steakhouse, a silent and live auction, recognition of outstanding Boys and Girls Club Students, and will conclude with the keynote address.
